Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Ohio
judgement statute of limitation
My son and 2 other boys, (and parents) were taken to small claims court, about vandalism. The plaintiff was awarded a judgement +5% annum.
I don't have her current address, I don't know were to send payment. We went to the court soon after and they told us she would contact us. It's been over 2 years and she hasn't contacted us to receive it. Is there a statute of limitation that she can contact us. Does the 5% start after she tells us were to send the money, or is it accuring now.

Re: judgement statute of limitation
Judgements are good for a long time. Up to 20 years under certain circumstances. Keep notes on your attempts to pay her and if she finally appears, refuse to pay the interest, which starts to run on the day of judgement.
