Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Ohio

Worthless attorney

I met with and hired an attorney that I found on this site. He told me that he would keep in touch with me and keep me informed about my case. I haven't heard from him in approx. three months. I have emailed him with no response. What should I do?

Re: Worthless attorney

Dear Reader: I'm sorry to learn of your unpleasant experience with your Attorney.

1. Send a letter to this Attorney, by Certified Mail, Return Receipt Requested, stating: Dear Attorney ______:

You are hereby terminated as my Attorney(s), on all my matters, claims and case(s), effective immediately. Please now return to me all of my papers, documents and things, together with a detailed, itemised statement of all services rendered and all out-of-pocket expenses, for which you now state or claim any amounts are due you from me or my case(s).

Thank you.

Yours truly,

2. In the event you don't hear from this errant lawyer within ten (10) days after mailing, contact the Grievance committtee of the local Bar Association, and state your Complaint, in writing. You'll get immediate results. Sorry for your unpleasant experience. 99.9% of the good, honest, hard-working Attorneys suffer because of 0.1% of the bad ones.

Good luck!

sincerely,

J. Norman Stark
