Legal Question in Immigration Law in Ohio
Used False Social Security Number
My husband and I married 11/05. He arrived legally 12/01. We are going for
our first INS interview in a few weeks and I wanted to know how to handle the
situation if the subject of his employment and using a false social were to
come up. Also, can he be denied a green card because of this. He didn't use
the number for anything else, only work. I am now pregnant. If he were to be
denied, could I apply for hardship or a waiver of this judgment? Since a
denied case is determined by a judge for final say, does the judge allow us to
present our case, or has the case been decided as being denied if it has
already gone to the judge? Please advise.

Re: Used False Social Security Number
Usually he will not be denied just because of his illegal working. If he is denied, he will be put into removal proceeding and then you will need an attorney to help you out.
