Legal Question in Immigration Law in Ohio
After layoff can I change to H1
I entered USA on a L1 visa in 2005.
Now I got laid off by my company, can I transfer to a H-1 or another visa in order to work for a different company here in US (there are plenty of openings for Project Manager Telecommunication).
To do so do I have to leave the country?
Thank you

The quota for H1b has been exhausted for this year. You need to transfer to student visa till next October or so. You can try h2 visa for now as well.
