Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Ohio
Can I refinance a house I got in a divorce w/ a tax lien on it?
I was awarded the house in our divorce. There is a tax lien on it. My ex is ordered to pay part of it and I have to pay half of the remaining. I am ordered to refinance it. Will I be able to refinance without the tax liens being paid off? Or will these have to be taken care of first?

You will have to either pay off the tax lien at closing or coordinate with them to remove it and place it back on after closing (or subordinate to new lender). You should hire an attorney experienced in tax matters to help you with the latter.
