Deceased beneficiary
A will list four people that are to split the inheritance 4 ways. 2 of the four are deceased. Does the inheritance transfer automatically to their heirs or do the remaining 2 now get a 50% amount

If the will is silent, then the bequest to the deceased beneficiaries lapse, and the residual is split between the survivors.
