Re: executor of estate

The executor is not responsible for any unpaid bills of the estate. However, the executor also is not entitled to favor one creditor over another creditor. If the estate appears to be insolvent, the executor must ask the Probate Court to hold an insolvency hearing and determine which creditors are entitled to be paid and how much.

Re: executor of estate

One is an executor of an estate only upon the death of the decedent. The assets of the person should pay for his debts. It is not the responsibility of the "executor" or "guardian" to pay for the debts of the ward. If you have any further questions please feel free to email me at [email protected].
