Legal Question in Criminal Law in Oregon
!st Degree Murder
My son was convicted of 1st degree murder.The DA gave his atty a witness statment and this statment was never followed up and the statment was made by someone who had been arrested and is false.The atty never spoke to this witness ,But yet my son was convicted .Even though my son admitted this,He was convicted of a more serious crime.How do I try to help him get the sentence this crime deserves?

It's a little late now to wonder what should have been done at trial. You'll get to give an impassioned speech to the judge before sentencing. If there are grounds for legitimate appeal after sentencing, hire counsel to do so.
