Legal Question in Business Law in Pennsylvania

Honoring previous agreements

I had an agreement with a website[domain name] that I paid for a banner advertisement for unlimited impressions for life of the board. It was a new forum. The original owner sold it to another party. The new owners will not honor my agreement. Do I have any legal rights to keep my agreement? If so is their case law.

I was told that basic law says that you must honor all leases when you purchase an apartment building.

Re: Honoring previous agreements

The extent of your rights should be specified in the contract for the banner advertisement. While there may be some way that they are not legally obligated from the facts presented it seems like they are. I offer free consultations.

Re: Honoring previous agreements

The agreement with the owner must be in writing. That document has to be reviewed by legal counsel. Secondly, what was sold to the new owner has to be verified. After review it can be determined whether the new party has to honor the previous agreement. It is not the same as a landlord-tenant situation. The new owner may or may not have any liability. You might have a claim against the previous owner if you can document the agreement. Gerald Hershenson Esq. 215-579-9390
