Legal Question in Business Law in Pennsylvania

right to refuse?

I am a wholesale distributor and one of my customers has been verbally abusive towards me and is spreading untrue rumors about my company that is damaging. Can I refuse to sell to her and/or terminate my business relationship? What are my legal rights?

yes, you are your own boss, you dont have to do business with everyone. There is no law that says that you have to do business with every individual.

Re: right to refuse?

You certainly can refuse to do business with someone who is abusive to you and who disparages your company. You may have recourse based on defamation, disparagement, possibly under appropriate facts interference with contractual relations. In any event you need not deal with this person.

Re: right to refuse?

You are not required to do business with anyone, unless you have a requirements/outputs contract that they can enforce.

Also, if they have defamed you, we can prepare a cease and desist letter for a very reasonable fee. We find that this frequently resolves a lot of these problems.
