Legal Question in Business Law in Pennsylvania

I was terminated, is non-compete still valid odd situation

when hired they assumed i had my degree, after 13 months of working for them they found out i did not

they felt this violated their trust and officially terminated me

the paperwork is all just terminated

i handle national accounts for marketing of over 30 products

a competitor who has a similar product and is located in a different state wants me to work for them

since they fired me for something under false pretenses and given electronic media is ever changing and borderless, also the nc states a period of 12 months

if i did not handle any of my previous accounts would i be able to work for the new company

Re: I was terminated, is non-compete still valid odd situation

You asked about a non-compete agreement.

This is not a cut and dried situation and you need to tread carefully. Most likely the non-compete can be circumvented to your advantage, but do not just plough ahead.

Rather, set up a time with me to go over your agreement line by line, and potentially your new employment agreement. A little expense now could save you a headache and larger expense later.

Regards,

Roger
