Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Pennsylvania
Default on Sale of Truck
In a nutshell, I sold my truck to a family friend. She would pay me when her tax money came in. Transferred title to them as I subsequently moved out of state. They decided not to pay me for the truck. Can I do anything about this? There was nothing in writing...just verbal.

Consider suing for the balance owed you in small claims court. It will have to be brought where the debtors live.

In most states, oral agreements are enforceable,if performance would take place in less than one year. I don't know about Pennsylvania. You'll have to check with a Pennsylvania attorney, or check the Staute of Frauds in Pennsylvania.
