Was given a personal loan of 2,500 to buy a car have a 100.00 payment left nothing was signed by me for the amount browed i have pink slip for what was payed on car plus every cash payment i made to him i had him sign to verfiey recived money now he will not accept last payment and sent a repo guys to take car. i wanted to give them the money but they also want to take the car.the person that has the lean on the car is now saying that i owe more money then was loaned to me.everthing was on a hand shake

Never, never, never make "hand-shake" verbal agreements with people. ALWAYS make agreements in writing.

First, make sure that you have all documentation of payments made to the person. Since the person is seeking to repo the car, you can force him to show proof that you owe money. In addition, he will have a hard time showing what the agreement was too, since he has nothing in writing either.

You may be forced to file in court to get the court to sort it out. It's also in your favor that he is refusing a payment you're trying to make (assuming that it was on time).
