Did a lawyer tell you there was a time limit?

Assuming you can make the case for the paternity of the child being unknown there is a good reason not to have your boyfriend adopt the child. That is that your parental rights would be terminated. To avoid that it would be best to marry the boyfriend first, that way you would be adopting the child as well.
