Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

My husband and his ex-wife had a mutual divorce without attorneys involved over two years ago. In the divorce decree, it says that my husband is responsible for providing health insurance for the children. Does this mean that he is also responsible for all copays, are we both responsible, or is the person responsible who takes them to the doctor/hospital? The ex-wife took the kids to the ER a few months ago for minor colds when we told her not to and the copays are $250 each. The hospital had my husband's name from past visits years ago and so put the bill in his name and now he has a debt collection agency calling and saying he has to pay it.

What should be clear is that somebody should have thought about such things as co-pays and deductibles and such. That's why you hire a lawyer to draft such documents.

Now if some one were to ask the Domestic relations section to determine how to allocate co-pays and deductibles. How they would do it is the primary custodian pays the first $259 per child. Then the out of pocket expenses are split based on each parties share of the total income. If you can't come to an agreement you file a siupport action.
