Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

We live in Pennsylvania. My son has been dating a girl for almost 6 mos. She was 2 mos pregnant when they met. The baby is due in 2 months. The baby’s father wants nothing to do with the child. In fact he said he hoped she would miscarry. My son wants to be named on the birth certificate as the father. Would this mean he would be financially responsible for the child for the next 18 years, even if it doesn’t work out between him and the mother?? I don’t want to see him make a huge mistake that can effect the rest of his life.

Yes it would, Yes and once paternity is established it's almost impossible to change especially if your son consented to being named as the father.

If your son is over 18 it's his decision alone.
