Legal Question in Employment Law in Pennsylvania
compensation owed me by former employer
A former employer owes me monies from expenses I paid out of pocket while performing business for the company. I have documented all expenses and submitted them along with orginal receipts to the other party and have had no response. They paid all previous expenses and have given no response as to why this is not being paid. What are my options?

Re: compensation owed me by former employer
You should bring a legal action against them. If the amount owed is under $8,000.00 this can be done in small claims court. If you have anything in writing that the employer reimburses expenses incurred that would be good evidence. However you indicate a course of conduct to show they had been reimbursing you in the past so it appears you have an implied contract to reimburse even if you do not have a written contract. you do not indicate how long ago the expenses were incurred there are statute of limitations. in any event small claims seems your best option. if you would like a consultation on this mattercontact to set up an appointment . Good luck
