Legal Question in Employment Law in Pennsylvania

Employment Contract

I'm a cable installer contractor, when hired I signed an agreement, stating that as a contractor I will not get hired by our company client such as co. X . I went to co. X for an interview and got the job but can't start until my contract is breached. The way to breach that contract is to discontinue my employment as a contractor for six months and after six months start with co. X. Problem is I can't afford to take time off. So my question is am I locked out of an opportunity to better myself or is there a way out of this contract. Pleas Help.

Re: Employment Contract

I believe you are referring to a covenant not to compete included in your employment contract. There may be ways around it. If you would like to discuss this further, please give me a call. (610) 892-7777.
