Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Pennsylvania

HELP! I lived in apartment with my boyfriend, but ended up moving to a different state for work and so got my name taken off the lease. My name was still on the utilities bills because it just didnt seem like a big deal at the time. But recently the (now ex) boyfriend got evicted for not paying rent and now the very pissed off landlord is threatening to sue both the ex and myself for back rent and "excessive pet damage" (there were 2 cats in the apartment after I left). My name hasnt been on the lease in at least 6 months! But the landlord is saying that the fact that my name was on the utilities shows responsibility? Is he right???
