Legal Question in Personal Injury in Pennsylvania

liability release for working on a ladder

I have an LLC which teaches people

how to paint. I actually teach them on

real walls in a church. Ladders and/or

scaffolding are involved. What liability

release form should I use so that, if

they fall off of a ladder, they can't sue

me or the church. I have insurance on

my company.

Re: liability release for working on a ladder

I don't think any release will be valid to shield you from your negligence, or the church's negligence. You & the church need to have plenty of ins coverage in case someone gets hurt. Also, I'm not sure if these people may be considered your employees. If they are, you'll need worker's comp ins. I suggest discussing this with your ins agent or ins co, & if they say the ladder people are not employees, send the ins co or agent a letter confirming what they told you, & keep a copy of the letter. Good luck!
