Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania

Sheriff sale properties in Pennsylania. What do we need to know?

What liens or judgments would we be responsible for if we acquired a property though a sheriff sale? I've been looking through some of the county's public records concerning these properties. Some of the owners didn't pay their Federal taxes, some were delinquent in paying their creditors and have judgments, some have not paid their county and property taxes, and some were simply mortgage foreclosures.

you have to be careful when you buy a foreclosre sale property. You can win the bid and end up paying someone else's IRS liens. Have an attorney run a title search on a property before you bid on it and have them explain to you what you may have to pay off after you win the bid. Contact us if you have any further questions regarding sheriff sales.
