Legal Question in Family Law in Philippines

Divorce/Annulment

My husband is a USCitizen. He abandoned my K3 petition. Now he abandoned me as well. He stopped communicating with me for almost a year now. He threatened to leave me onced.I attempted contacting him thru his cp (claiming he has no residential phone line),but no luck.He simply dont answer my calls.I emailed him and asked for some explanation, no reply.Again I emailed him asking for divorce or if not i will file an annulment since there are many flaws with our marriage...marriage license is released 12days after the wedding..meaning we had what they called here the shortcut marriage. Now after a much thorough analysis,I decided I dont want to keep the marriage.I dont want to waste many years waiting for nothing.I only heard from his relatives he will not cooperate with any legal proceeding I will make.I am completely kept in the dark why he is doing this to me.He is challenging me to go to the US and file the divorce there if i badly want it. How can I do that? No money and not a citizen there. Can I go ahead to nullify the marriage w/o his cooperation? Please advise.

Re: Divorce/Annulment

YES, you can file a Petition for Nullity of Marriage here on the ground of psychological incapacity and/or the absence of a valid marriage license at the time of the celebration of the marriage. You do not have to go to the US to terminate the marriage.
