If you had your parental rights terminated you will not have to pay child support UNLESS you owed back child support at the time your parental rights were terminated. The Court Order must say that your "Parental Rights were Terminated." On the other hand, if someone has legal and physical custody of your child and your rights were not terminated then you are absolutely responsible for child support. The person with custody can seek child support from you either through the family court or through the Department of Social Services.
