Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

I am currently considering a divorce. I work full time and my husband does not work. He has been unemployed for almost 2 years, we've been married almost 6 yrs. We have a daughter together and I have a daughter from a previous relationship. Everything is in my name, all the bills and the trucks and the house. His name is not on anything except our checking account. What is he entitled to at this point. If I leave him, will I have to support him?

He is entitled to roughly one-half of the assets and debts accumulated during the marriage. Without knowing all the specific details, it's not possible to give you a more specific answer than that at this time.

These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case.
