Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

My ex-husband and I have been seperated since my daughter was 1. We have been divorced for 6+ years. My current husband of 5 years has a possibility of being transferred with his job. Even though my ex chooses not to be involved in my daughters everyday life is there anything he can do to stop us from moving?

He cannot stop you from moving, but he could petition the Court to keep the child from moving. Relocation cases are complicated, and it's difficult to get into specifics via email or in this forum.

These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case.

If you need more information, you can visit my family law blog (www.SCFamilyLaw.com) or our website (www.SpartanburgLawyers.com). I wish you the best of luck.
