Legal marriage ???

I was married before the judge signed my "husbands"divorce papers from 2nd wife.

Is this a legal marriage?

Re: Legal marriage ???

A prior marriage is an "impediment" to the validity of the second marriage. As a general matter, if an

impediment exists at time of marriage and one party believes, in good faith, that the marriage is valid,

and the impediment is removed and one party (not necessarily the same party) believes, in good faith,

that the marriage is valid, then the marriage will be considered valid. However, if you knew that your

husband was not validly divorced then your marriage is not valid. If the marriage was not validly

contracted, you may need an annulment instead of a divorce to establish your legal status and rights.
