Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

Paramour Law

What is the paramour law in the State of South

Carolina? And how does that effect the divorce when

minor children are involved? Is there a three year

seperation period before the children would be allowed

around another person? And is the law null and void if

you are remarried?

Re: Paramour Law

A paramour is an illicit sexual partner of a man or a woman. It is one of the grounds for a fault divorce in the State of South Carolina.

The relationship alone does not affect custody or visitation; there must be other factors.

I don't understand why you think there is a three year separation in relatinship to the children. I need more details here.

I don't understand the question about the law being null and void.

It sounds like you would benefit from a consultation with a lawyer in your area to hear your details and answer your questions.

I agree with the answer Mr. Ferrene gave you. It sounds like you may have taken advice from a

non-lawyer which can be a dangerous thing to do. You really need to consult with an attorney that practices family law.
