Home Lease

I have leased a home which do to medical circumstances I am now 2 weeks in Default. The lease I have was a simple lease for 12 months, basically 2 simple pages with nothing about eviction. How long will it take the out of state Landlord to evict us? Does this not take months and court dates?

Go to the Landlord IMMEDIATELY and explain circumstances (and provide written documentation via Med Records or letter from MD) and offer to help Re-Rent premises (pay for sign, help show it, keep it clean and presentable)and he MAY let you off the hook.

Otherwise, you may want to talk to BKY attorney, which buys you 60 days holding period.
