Re: Giving out personal imformation

If your wife had no ownership of or legal claim to the account, then it sounds like she has converted your property to her use. This may constitute a civil and criminal violation. Did she have any right to access your account? Did her name appear anywhere on the account? Have you granted her a power of attorney? Did she upon filing the divorce seek any injunctive relief against you regarding any bank accounts? You should consult with a competent Tennessee divorce attorney with regard to these questions and what impact her actions could have upon her job. There are other factual considerations to determine what liability, if any, the bank might have to you. Please let me know if our office can be of any assistance.

She will probably make the judge really mad with a stunt like that. Talk with your attorney or get one quickly. For more info, see www.gsmithlawfirm.com
