Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Tennessee

A lawyer lying

When I went for the divorce to be final my ex's lawyer came in to contest when my lawyer came up to me to let me know what was going on I asked him How much is this going to cost?and right then and there he said nothing that he didn't think my ex had a chance. My mother is a witness to him saying this. Now he is taking me to civil court for like $700. I told the Judge that I didn't think I owed that and there will be a hearing on the matter next month. When I confronted him he said thats my story He denies even saying this What should I do? My witness is going to court with me. THANK YOU....

Re: A lawyer lying

Go to court, take your evidence with you [includes witnesses], tell your story, accept the outcome, and move on.
