Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
Incentive Pay
in 2005 I earned an incentive pay that was never paid out by my company. I didn't push the issue last year because things appeared to be going great for me and I was receiving rapid promotions with assurances that pay raises and so forth were coming. At the end of 2006, I received a raise at the end of the year. In my opinion, it was a very low raise and not what I expected at all. Now that it's a year later, is it too late to push for the incentive legally?

Re: Incentive Pay
Sure. The statute of limitations on a contract or debt is four years. Of course legal action against your employer will immediately put your job in jeopardy.
I'd suggest asking why the incentive pay earned was never paid; there may be a good reason for it.
