Legal Question in Construction Law in Texas
Contract Termination
I am a supplier to a contractor that wants to terminate our contract, using the clause ''Termination for Convenience''. We are owed alot of money by the contractor. What remedies do I have to collect now that the contract has been terminated?

Re: Contract Termination
Give notice to the owner and the general that you've not been paid, and if time permits, file a mechanics & materialmans lien against the property. Terminating the contract simply ends any further work or charges; it does not eliminate charges already incurred.
See an attorney in your area that handles M&M liens ASAP since the time for action tends to be rather short.
