Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

deferred adjudication

I recently got put on deffered adjudication for theft alcohol which means if I complete all the terms of it and don't get any more tickets then it'll be wiped off my record.I finished all of the terms and requirments needed for it but recently got ticketed for MIP but was found not guilty by a jury. So my question is do you think the judge who put me on deffered will let me stay on it and be eligle for it to get off my record or will he kick me off the program for just being ticketed thus keeping it on my record.

Re: deferred adjudication

When you submit the completed deferred form at end of your supervision period, attach a copy of the acquittal from the MIP. It should resolve the issue. If it does not, retain an attorney immediately to handle this, as it should not be on your record, and you only have a brief window to contest it.
