Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My daughter just moved back to georgia to her in laws house. Everyone there is on meth. I need to get custody of my grand kids due to their safety issues. I live in texas. They lived here up till this pass Tuesday. What are my rights an how do I get lawyer to help me when I don't have money for lawyer?

You can call the child protection services in GA and see if they will pick up the child. Or call the police and have the house raided. That protects the kids immediately.

You will then have to go to GA to try to get custody of the children.

If you had primary custody of the children for over 6 months in your home without the parents present, then you might have standing to ask a TX court to grant you primary custody.

You truly need to talk to a family law attorney in Texas about your grandparent rights.
