Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Divorce Attorney

My divorce case has been on-going for almost a year, it is now in the hands of the Judge. My attorney has made a motion to withdraw, when this goes to trial, can I represent myself & state my side of the story or do I have to hire another lawyer

Re: Divorce Attorney

What do you mean, in the hands of the Judge?

You are always permitted by law to represent yourself, however, if a divorce case goes to trial to will be held to the same standard of knowledge and expertise as a lawyer. You will be at a severe disadavantage. It's harder than it looks.
