my ex is in tx, for over 15 yrs she put her bills in my name, i helped her throught college 2 times, and other thing paying her way, we are divo in june 08 i had no $ to go to court to fight it, and she know it, i hired a legal help off internet, in colo, paid then, and they did nexted to nothing,my court date, were she was suposed too set me up with postponment, she called a day later after court, when was court??? i have a ph recording me with her cusing me out!! i was marr to this women of 30 yrs, she sabateged her family, and me for 15yrs, we consuladated student loans in 04 or 5 last yr i asked her to defur then, at that time they were $95.000. she didn't and now there $155.000. and other bills, i would like to sue her, and my legal help that did nothing for me, i have nexted to nothing, but will make payments,

I agree with James Grissom. Both of you are on the hook for student loans because they're joint and several which means if one doesn't pay the other one will have to. It also means that they are dischargeable in bankruptcy only in exceptional circumstances, and they can also garnish your social security if they're federally guaranteed.

Sorry, looks that so-called "legal help off the internet" has put you into a very difficult position. Probably cost $30,000 -$40,000 to even start to change this and even that might not be enough.
