Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

marriage

I ''married'' a girl when I was 17 and she was 16. So therefore we had to have parent or guardian consent. The lady she got to sign for her isn't her legal guardian. It--name removed--her mother, but her mother has NO LEGAL rights over her. She signed her rights away when she was 2 or 3. So my question is .. is our marriage even legal?

Re: marriage

Without doing extensive research; I believe that your marriage was voidable, and could have been annulled, if the suit was filed within 90 days of the marriage. (Family Code 6.101 et al).

If you were defrauded, then it might still be voidable.
