Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Domestic partnership.

My situation is as follows. I have been in a five year relationship with my now ex. He has asked me to leave our residence. During the duration of our relationship we have made big purchases of which they were acquired under his name. A fully furnished house and two vehicles. At this time I have taken one of the vehicles and my personal belongings. He has agreed for me to take one of the vehicles under his name and continue paying it, in which i have agreed. My question is this. How can I make sure he won't try to take the vehicle when i'm the one making the payments? Are there any legal papers we can both sign to make this legal? He has stayed with the house and does not want me to have access to anything in it. I have put my share into paying along side with him. We had a joint checking account in which all our bills where paid. Can you please help me sort out some of my pressing issues so that we both get our share of what we both worked so hard to acquire?

Re: Domestic partnership.

This is why people should get married before they start playing house. A married person would have well defined rights. You may have gifted him with 5 years of your life and money. Go see a good family law attorney. Good luck!
