Re: moving out

Depends.

When you are 17 you are no longer considered a runaway or truant.

You cannot enter into any legal contracts until you are 18.

If your parents, for whatever reason, (such as divorce, guardianship et.) have any valid court orders which govern your conservatorship, property, or person; then the court has jurisidiction over your person and can enter orders which dictate where you live. Also, if someone has direct notice of those orders, and interferes, then that person might be subject to a contempt proceeding.

Honestly, if your situation is not severe, wait the 6 weeks before moving out. If it is severe, find a trusted adult who can steer you to legal advice and direction.
