Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
I had my parental rights for my four younger children taken away years ago and never saw them again. Now that I am married my husband and I are considering having a child. I am scared that if any government agencies find out I have a child I will lose them too. What complications would there be for our child if the were born at home and homeschooled and thus had no birth certificate and records? Im mainly worried about our child being able to get a drivers license or employment when they grow up.

If you will not apply for a birth certificate (and I assume for a SSN) for your child, he/she may not be able to ever prove that he/she is an American citizen, and has right to be in this country, etc. Yes, he will not be able to get a Driver License, passport, or even a simple job.

If the child does not have a social security number, then you cannot deduct that child from your income taxes.
You can do this for awhile, but in order for the child to be an active member of society, eventually the child is going to need a birth certificate and social security number.
I also agree with Luba Smal above.
Unless you live in an isolated area, people are going to see this child. People might be suspicious.
What if the child is kidnapped? You would have no proof the child existed.
Not registering the child does NOT protect you from CPS. If someone calls CPS regarding this child, you will have no proof that you are a parent. You would have to under DNA testing to prove your paternity.
In our society today, we are all being tracked via our social security number. You can try to avoid it, but it is a reality.
