Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Here is my situation. I'm getting divorce. We bought a house. We have a kid in common. What is going to happened with the house?

If the house is community property, which it sounds like it is, each of you will be entitled to a portion of the equity in the home, probably 50:50.

If one of you wants to keep the house and has access to enough money to buy the other person out, you can do that. If neither of you has enough money to buy the other person out, the house will probably be sold and the proceeds will be divided between you.
