Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Violation of Supervised Visitation
My ex-husband is an alcoholic, but he contends he has been sober for 20 months after serving time in a federal prison for white collar crime. Because of past behaviors - including attempted abduction, public intoxication, DWI (dismissed), and physical violence (plus others) - he is required to have supervised visitation. The court approved ''supervisors'' are either KidsExchange or his mother. Unfortunately, his mother is an enabler. He has no respect for the court order, except when it is to his advantage (guaranteed visits). This past weekend he had possession of the children. Two issues of which I am aware include driving while the children were in the car (specifically prohibited) and having his mother leave him alone in a movie theater with the children (while she saw another film). The order states that the visitation must be supervised ''at all times''. Are these issues enough to initiate a hearing to remove the grandmother as a court-approved supervisor?

Re: Violation of Supervised Visitation
It may be, but you should go talk with a good local family law attorney. This is a long running situation and not something that can be answered in a simple email.
