Filing lawsuit for child molestation

What are the statue of limitations for filing a lawsuit on behalf of my daughter for sexual molestation?

With all due respect to Mr. Siegel's answer, the statute of limitations is 2 years "after" the child attains the age of majority or is otherwise emancipated.

I agree with Mr. Grissom. The statute of limitations runs two years after your daughter's disabilities are removed (ie. when she turns 18). Therefore, she most likely has till her 20th birthday, at least under Texas law, to file suit. However, there may be other factors that extend her time.
