Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

can my wages be garnished if i owe a payday loan? Igot a 200.00 loan online and wasn't able to pay it all at one time.Now they say I owe double the amount,that it's a hot check and they will pursue aggressive actions.

Wages in Texas cannot be garnished. Twice the amount owed would be a heckuva an interest rate and illegal. I don't know about a hot check charge; it does not sound like you wrote anyone a check. If I were you, I would keep paying whatever you can afford and as long as they are taking the money, they are not going to sue you over $200 unless they have money to waste.
