Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas
Work Eligibility
Can an illegal alien who has filed for residency and has been approved be eligible to work by applying for a work permit, though his papers are only in process? Is an I-765 form used for this?

There are some categories which allow you to qualify for a work permit while the LPR is processing. The I765 is the right form to use. TCL
