Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

Finding Fault in an accident

I turned a corner onto a 2 lane road that is not marked 2 lanes until you stop at the light. A large van was on the left side, going very slow, almost stopped. I then proceded to pass on the right, when he decides that he want to turn right. He hit my car and pushed me into the curb. The driver of the van received a ticket from Houston Police. I did not. The police report indicates he made an improper turn. The company he works for has denied my claim. He admitted fault right after the accident happened, before a police officer showed up. Now he has changed his story and says I hit him. What is my next step to get his company to pay for the damage (est. $1200.)

to my car.

Re: Finding Fault in an accident

If the company will not voluntarily pay for the damage to your car you will have to sue the driver of the van in Harris County small claims court.

Contact the court for information about how to proceed.
