Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

Can a Small Estate or Heirship affidavit be used when a single person with no will, wife or children be used when he does have a Homestead home in TX? He also has
an auto, both paid in full & no bills except Credit Card, utilities & etc.

Possibly. The estate has to qualify under the small estate affidavit requirements in the probate code.
