Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Utah

Do I need probate for a automobile only estate?

My father passed away leaving an automobile in his name only. He only has $100.00 worth of debt. Does my mother need to go through probate? There was no will, or power of attorney. How does she go about probate if that's what she needs to do?

Go to the nearest State district court. They should be able to give you some forms for informal probate. It is a lot of paperwork, but be patient, and you will be able to take care of it yourself.
