Purchase of Property

Me and my wife are legally separated and live in separate states. we presently own a home together, my question is if i decide to by a home another house can she come after me?

In addition, if you owe her money, she may be able to get a judgment, docket the judgment according to the rules of the state in which you now live, and thereby have a lien on your new real estate.

If Virginia law applies (for example, you last lived together in Virginia, or your agreement states that Virginia law is to be applied) your wife would have no claim on the property you purchase after the last separation, so long as your separate funds, not marital funds, are used for the purchase.
