Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

severance package and sale of house affecting child support

Is an exwife entitled to increased child support due to my a non-custodial parent selling a house? Also, my husband (who is the non-custodial parent) recieved a one time lump sum payment from a severance package. How does this affect childs support, expecially in light of the fact that he is now making considerably less than when he was employed?

Well, one question that should be addressed up front is, who's asking, you and/or your husband, or is it the custodial parent? If not the latter, then best to "let sleeping dog lie", according to the old adage that might very well apply to the latter situation.
